Crisp, as new book, very gently kept by former owner. Measures 8-1/2"x11-1/4" and is unpaginated. This is as much a celebration of the role the University of Cincinnati played in the designing and building of the Golden Gate Bridge as the anniversary of the bridge itself. This iconic San Francisco landmark was designed and built by Joseph B. Strauss, a Cincinnati native who graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati. Beautiful photpographs in both color and black and white, as well as art. A lovely keepsake.

Book contains handsome black and white photographs of distinctive homes and detailed photos of their various styles of front entries. This copy is #213 of of only 500 printed.

Though he concentrates on interior design, Baldwin was trained as an architect at Princeton and brings this education to the composition of his roomscapes. Here he tells his story through his work from his own first apartment in New York City through spaces designed for clients, including commercial spaces such as the Ritz Bar in Boston and the Yale Center for British Art. One entire chapter is also devoted to outdoor rooms in both East Hampton and Sarasota, Florida. 199 pages.

Beautifully done with crisp. black and white photographs and architectural drawings covering both interiors and exteriors. The emphasis of the Monograph series is the architecture of the American colonies and the early republic, so the text covers several historic homes of Danvers (Old Salem Village). Both booklets contain 16 pages.

Very nice, clean book with o bumps to corners and very clean red boards. Oversized at 9"x10". Jacket is very clean with no tears or chips and has not been price-clipped. Looks most handsome in brand new mylar. Only fault is a narrow ban of toning at top edge of endflaps. SIGNED and inscribed to previous owner by John Zweifel, one of the artists who created the miniature masterpiece. Book is filled with excellent full color photographs, but also contains much text offering details about both the real building and the creation of the replica. 201 pages plus back matter.

Begins with principles and technique of fine art and moves through the ages showing painting, sculpture and architecture of each. Book is very handsome and oversized at 9-1/2"x12". Pages and page edges pistine with no nams or writing other than author's signature which reads, "With best wishes, Al Chambers May, 1993." It was not inscribed to a particular person. Books jacket shows minor creasing to top back edge, but no tears or chips and is clean and bright in brand new mylar. As you can see from the photo, there is also laid-in a print showing the geometry of Poplar Forest which is a perfect cube surrounded by four elongated octagons within an octagon. Book has color plates at the fornt and back and white photographs amd drawings within the text which offers much detail and historical anecdote. Book was published to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Jefferson's birth. 243 pages.

The author, Da Bibiena, was theatre architect to Ranuccio Farnese, Duke of Parma, and traveled throughout Spain and Italy designing churches and theatres, as well as grand sets for temporary use. He eschewed conservative symmetry which is what he discusses in the five sections of this treatise . Beatuiful drawings, both technical and decorative throughout. Book measures 10-1/4"x13-3/4" and has 159 pages.
