1 The Mystic Brotherhood University Tampa, Florida
Tampa, Florida The Mystic Brotherhood University Soft Cover Very Good 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall
Very scarce ephemera item from an occult group which splintered from the Rosicrucians in the late 1920's -- early 30's. There is no date, but research shows that it precedes1934 when the group was forced by the Federal Trade Commission to stop advertising itself as a university and conferring "doctor of philosophy" degrees on those who completed the course. By 1946 it had dissolved. The booklet measures 9"x11-1/4" and is handsomely produced on brown paper (paper bag color) with a strong graphic cover design. Bound with a heavy brown twine. Appears to be what was sent to would-be followers who expressed an interest in lreceiving further information. Pages to be filled out and returned are still blank and there are no names or other markings anywhere. Includes a fold-out sepia toned art work at frontis. eighteen pages describe the Wisdom School, course requirements and cost (they did have a Welfare Program), as well as an index of the Mystic Brotherhood Lectures.

Crisp, colorful, large map measuring 17-1/4" tall and 39" wide. Folds handily to 8-1/2"x9-3/4". Only fault is a small tear to edge repaired discreetly at back by me with archival tape. Spotlights and dates the most important events of WWII since the Munich Agreement of Sept, 30, 1938. Seems to have been a promotional item companies could purchase and have printed with their name. In this instance it was the Akron Tarpaulin Company which had the following message added, "We, the Akron Tarpaulin Company, are endeavoring ro serve you the best we can with the best merchandise we can get under wartime restrictions." 4 Bearing Gifts From the Seven Seas (National Geographic Catalog 1928)
Washington D.C, National Geographic Society 1928 Soft Cover Very Good
Charming graphics and nice clean condition make this vintage catalog a worthy addition to an ephemera collection. It's printed in black on cream paper with a stapled binding and has 22 pages of books, panoramas (framed and unframed), and maps "for old and young". Each offering is accompanied by a small photo, plus the price, and each page is also decorated with small drawings. There is an unused order blank bound in at the center which shows a small bit of rust to staples, but otherwise catalog is without fault. This order blank is attached with staples showing so it could easily be removed, but it interrupts a two-page spread and has additional advertising on each side! A sampling of offerings include Horses of the World by Major Gen. William Harding Carter with original oil paintings by Edward Herbert Miner; and a sepia photogravure of a Romanian girl both unframed and framed. A small gem!

76 The Proper Use of the Kohler of Kohler Electric Sink - Diswasher
Kohler, Wisconsin Kohler 1928 Soft Cover Good
Scarce ephemera item, as the Kohler electric sink was a product ahead of its time. At white back cover there a light stain which is also visible on the blank pages at inside back. The rest is unscathed. 81 Sites Et Monuments De France; Bourgogne, Nivernais, Bourbonnaus, Franche-Comte (20 Vintage Postcards, Original Box)
Paris Soft Cover Near Fine in Fine Box
Lovely, postally unused collection of 20 vintage postcards in their original green box which is bordered in gilt with black printing to face only. There is no date, but they appear to be from the 1930's. We also believe this to be true because they were purchased as part of a larger collection amassed by a relative of the former's owner's during the early 1930's while touring France. Many items had dates from the early 30's. All cards and box are very good with no errant marks and nice crisp clean corners and paper. Each scene is tinted a very handsome green to match the attractive original box. A few scenes show mountains and the countryside, but most display churches, monuments, hotels and other buildings in the areas listed above in the title. Includes a few interior shots of statuary.
