Originally published in 1892 by Bradlee, Whidden. Absolutely pristine copy of a book worthy of reprinting. Not only is it clean and nice in matching untorn dustjacket, but it comes encased in its original clamshell box. The book itself is seen from time to time, but never have we seen one in the box. Box is absolutely pristine with like label affixed to spine. Only fault is a crease to bottom of spine area. Book, too, is clean and attractive -- former owner's name to front free endpaper. Dustjacket bright and clean with just the lightest wear. Altgether a worthy addition to the firearm book collection Book is illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and drawings. Contents include "Descriptions of processes of manufacturing; appliances used by riflemen for hunting and trarget shooting; directions for bullet making and reloading cartridges; positions adopted in various styles of shooting; trajectories of rifles; and a very full record of inventions, improvements and work accomplished with American rifles." 338 pages.
