Book is very clean and nice with no bumps to corners and no names or writing other than AUTHOR's SIGNATURE and inscription which reads thus, "Cordially yours, David A, Randell May 21, '67." Ptinred on beautiful heavy paper with lovely nautical painting in full color at front reproduced from a painting by J.K. Lilly, an avid bookman who liked to compile his collections from lists. Upon learning there was no list for books about the sea, ships, and seamen, he undertook to compile one himself. It was released at Christmas 1966. Book is comprised not only of the list, but also a recounting of how it came to be, who contributed to it, and how it grew in the process. Unpaginated.
