Very nice, clean copy of the poet's first book. Dustjacket protected by brand new mylar. No tears or chips and no price clip. Only fault is corner wrinkling to dustjacket. Inscribed and SIGNED thus on title page, "For the Duke who gave me my first, and still keenest, sense of American literature. Wm. Burford, 16 Dec. 1954."Forty poems spanning the first five years of Burford's work, several of which had been published in literary magazines, including Poetry, Southwest Review, the Partisan Review and the Quarterly Review of Literature. 55 pages.
