Very nice, clean, tightly bound book with a minimum of ex-lib sins. No external markings at all and interior ones consist of just two stickers and two stamps (one discard stamp) to front free endpaper only. Originally published in 1906. Seventeen chapters are footnoted and there is extensive back matter including a lengthy bibliography, a list of officers who served in the Navy and Marine Corps during the Revolution, plus a list of armed vessels and an index. 549 pages.
