Very nice, clean book handsomely printed in gilt at spine and face. No names or writing and very clean pages. Only fault is a tiny crease to upper front corner. Nice fold-out map and illustrated throughout with black and white photographs. From the general description, early charters and pioneer life to the land grants, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, to the various buildings and amenities the reader will find 392 pages of information in volkume one. Volume II begins following it with the geneaology of the town's key families. This section is likewise illustrated and has 463 pages.
