Crisp, beautiful copy with like dustjacket. No tears or chips, no names or writing. Dustjacket protected by brand new mylar cover. Navy boards are immaculate with no bumping. Bound in at front is a small notice on heavy, high quality paper which reads "Compliments of the Chemical Foundation Inc. New York." Only fault is darkening to rear endpapers from newspaper article laid-in. This, however, is most interesting as it was clipped from the Nov. 12, 1950 edition of the American Weekly and written by Nobel Laureate Dr. Hideki Yukawa. Book discusses a myriad of scientific toipics of the day including unpuzzling the universe, the cosmic ray mystery, within the atom, energy from atoms, the birth of nuclear chemistry, new ideas on evolution, race betterment, the fight against disease and much more. 400 pages. Indexed. A fascinating retrospective.
