Soft Cover. Very Good/Wraps, Good. Limited Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Very rare to find a copy of this chapbook which had a print run of only 150 copies, of which this is #90. Contains 18 poems, plus caliphon page and list of advance subscribers before publication. The Reading University books were chosen by John Wain for a small audience to introduce young poets, especially those who taught English in "privinical" universities or worked as university librarians. Wharton. along with Irish poet Patrick Galwin, also edited a short-lived publication called "The Chanticleer" in Great Britain during the early 50's. Contents are clean as a whistle. Wraps display some chips to light brown overwrap at rear spine area, but book is tightly bound.
