Very nice, clean, solid copy. This is a first edition of the Standard Library Edition, which at the time of publication was more expensive than the popular edition. Clean green boards show gilt design and printing to spine. Book shows a small bit of wear to crown of spine, but no loss of cloth, a bit of darkening to tail of spine, softness to two front corners with light crease to lower, and a small bump to outer front edge. Rough-cut pages gilded at top edge. No names or writing. and no cracking to hinges. Photo of Roosevelt at frontis. Ads at back of book. Book offers 39 addresses, as well as letters and presidential messages. Locations of addresses span the country but a few notables include the Pan-American Missionary Service Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul in Washington D.C.; Antietam, the University of California at Berkeley; the dedication ceremonies of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, Carnegie Hall at the Bicentennial Celebration of the birth of John Wesley; the Founder's Day banquet of the Union League; and Canton, Ohio in honor of the birthday of the late President William McKinley. 485 pages.
