Ne' Ho Ni Yo De No; That's What It Was Like, Austin, Alberta
1 Austin, Alberta Ne' Ho Ni Yo De No; That's What It Was Like
Lackawanna, New York Rebco Enterprises Inc. 1986 First Edition/Second Edition Soft Cover Near Fine 4to - over 9" - 12" tall
Very crisp, clean, beautiful books. Volume II shows a small abrasion from a former price ticker to front, but is otherwise without fault. Covers, pages, and page edges pristine. These are scarce and important books developed as part of the Seneca Curriculum Project in New York State to give voice to the tribal elders of the Indians of New York. Both books provide much material for understanding the culture and the history of the time, but volume II is especially interesting in that it zeroes in on the experiences of school children attending Caucasian schools during the early part of thr 20th century. Photo of each contributor, plus maps and drawings. Volume I is a first edition, volume II a second. 534 collective pages.
