Moussorgsky Russia's Great Composer, Von Riseemann, Oskar
17 Von Riseemann, Oskar Moussorgsky Russia's Great Composer
New York Alfred A. Knopf 1929 Hard Cover Very Good Good
Book is very clean and nice with no real defect of note. Binding is tight and book is pristine inside and out with no names or writing. The oddity is the dustjacket itself -- it says Tudor Publishing, but the book is clearly published by Knopf. The dustjacket isn't perfect, but it's not too bad -- there are a few small chips to corners and one to bottom edge of spine (see photos). There's also some wear to surface at back of jacket which also shows stubborn soil. Book is covered with a mylar cover. The dustjacket is also price-clipped. Text includes not only a biography, but one with a psychological look at the composer's tragic life and career.
