Opened initially it measures 23" across and shows drawings of the plane and identification of its parts. Brochure opens yet again to 18"x23" and include charts and statistics. Also included are two issues of North American's trade organ "North American Take-Off" (Columbus Division) dated July 12 and July 23, 1965, respecitively. The first paper offers info on the first flight while the second is the story of the unveiling ceremony with photographs and additional info on the craft.

Photo at front of craft with pilot preparing to board. Other photographs inside both front and back covers, as well as black and white photos on pages and technical drawings. Book was published prior to this one by Charles Scibner in 1959. This one shows the 1959 copyright, but there is also an ISBN which shows that this book was published in 1981. Book and slipcase are lovely -- clean and beautifully designed. The boards are covered with a metallic gold, a brown cloth spine and a sky blue inked top edge, There are no names or writing. the pictorial slipcase is likewise clean and attractive with no real defect. Book in its case measures 6-3/4" x 9-3/4" and has 503 pages including an aviation glossary. Nice gift.
