Condition is sound and readable, but book does show a few issues including a chip to top front corner next to spine, tearing at front cover nexrt to spine at both top and bottom repaired neatly with nonbrowning archival tape, and a few small chips to the bottom of a page. Booklet measures 5-1/2"x 8" and covers all of the items in the title, plus the manufacture and use of traps, snares, nets, baits etc., as well as full instructions for preserving, tanning and dyeing skins and furs. 51 dense pages.

Book consists of a series of 93 plates in black and white with explanatory material which follows a fisherman (angler) as he wades through a typical day in the stream in search of trout. Of course, it was successful -- wouldn't be a book without some big fish.

Page edges are green on all three sides. Only top one shows a small light spot. Book is illustrated with 19 black and white images and has been collated -- all are present. 306 pages, pllus ads at back for other books.

It has since been repaired with heavy book tape and is holding well (see photo). There is also a clean bookplate which was not used and does not seem to be covering anything,. Book is oversized at 9"x11-1/4". Dustjacket is protected by brand new mylar cover. A guide for both collectors and fishermen with color photographs of each example, as well as appropriate information on each and space for owner to keep personal notes. Begins with the earliest examples and includes scarce lures from the 60's and 70's. Also includes chapters on the big manufacturers -- Bend, Paw Paw, and Pflueger, plus small companies. 251 pages. Not commonly found. Price reduced due to defect.
