1 Rodgers, Glendon J. Stories Along the Kern
San Francisco: Fearon Publishers, 1958
Hard Cover. Good/No DJ. No edition Stated, Likely First. Ex-Library. Very clean, tight copy. Corners are frayed and there is one stamp to front and also inside front board indicating withdrawl from school library, but no unsightly card pocket or other indications of origin. Attractive endpapers with drawings, words and music to "The Acorn Song." A fascinating history written for kids, but of interest to adults. Tells the story not only of the Kern River, but of Indian life, Spanish visitors, Mexcians and early Americanos such as Jedediah Smith and John C. Fremont. Very scarce title.
