Small bit of wear to spine only fault -- does not compromise integrity of binding.

An ephemeral annual in great condition save a small loss of paper at both sides of lower spine. Tightly bound and clean as a whiste inside and out with much crispness to paper and to cover. Commemorates Hawaii's Diamond Jubilee and precedes its statehood. The front sections has a lot of Hawaiian history and there is much info later on the various islands and the sugar and pineapple industries. There is also some tourist material and ads for hotels and restaurants, but this is really about what Hawaii was like at mid-century. Photo illustrated in black and white. The book measures 5"x7" and has 352 pages. The only fault is wear to the very bottom of the spine with a small loss of paper at both edges. Otherwise it's tightly bound and clean as whistle inside and out. 352 pages.

We are offering two books with the same title, one an abbreviated version of the other. The main book is quite handsome and printed on heavy paper. There is some light foxing to the face, but very minimal and just a small mount at back outer bottom corner. Very clean with no names or writing, no spine crease and no creasing to corners. Book is printed on heavy paper and illustrated strikingly in shades of brown, black, gray and white. Covers 104 cities and towns with multiple listings for many. Interesting to see past attractions, some of which are now gone and others transformed. Unpaginated. Smaller book has 14 pages and is illustrated with black and white photos.

Folder shows mild corner wear and a small spot to face.Especially nice art work at reverse showing soldier surrounded by Native American motifs. Images include a portait of Johnny Baker, Buffalo Bill's foster son; the Pa-Ha-Ska Teepee; Buffalo Bill's grave; the Upper Hairpins and Windy Point; Sensation Point on the Lariat Trail; Golden and Table Mts.; sunset over Lariat Trail; Denver at night from museum veranda; and Clear Creek Canon from Windy Point. Much printed historical of Buffalo Bill's life. No definitely, but definitely vintage.

Very nice clean book with just a small bit of wear to bottom edge of spine and a slight bit of softness to corners. Clean as a whistle inside and out. An early owner's name and the date 1938 penciled in on front free endpaper, but could easily be removed if desired. There's also an unused ownership sticker at front pastedownt which looks rather nice (see third picture). Book measures 4-1/4"x6-3/4" and has 466 pages plus an index and interesting travel ads at back. Covers British Guiana, British Honduras, the Bermudas, the Spanish Main and the Panama Canal. Illustrated with maps and black and white plates. A short tear to first map has been repaired by me on reverse side with non-browning archival tape.

Focus is on the Central Adirondack country with many beautiful black and white photographs throughout.

Book was published prior to this one by Charles Scibner in 1959. This one shows the 1959 copyright, but there is also an ISBN which shows that this book was published in 1981. Book and slipcase are lovely -- clean and beautifully designed. The boards are covered with a metallic gold, a brown cloth spine and a sky blue inked top edge, There are no names or writing. the pictorial slipcase is likewise clean and attractive with no real defect. Book in its case measures 6-3/4" x 9-3/4" and has 503 pages including an aviation glossary. Nice gift.

The story of the festival is told by Ian Cox in a lengthy text. The festival was all about contemporary design and bright color. Millions of people (international) thronged to the south bank of the Thames. In addition to what was at the main site there were other areas of London to offer more wonders. Among the exhibits were the Dome of Discovery, architecture, pleasure gardens, industrial power, science and much more. Catalog measures 7-1/4"x 9-1/2" and is clean and tightly bound with no names or writing. Not often found.

An interesting and seldom seen title. Very handsome design and clean and tightly bound inside and out. Gilded top edge. The only detractions are a bit of wear to lower front corner and a small loss of gilt to horizontal line at bottom of spine. Overall quite nice. SIGNED and inscribed by author thus, "To my dear friend Mr. Kellen, with esteem and regards of the author, Edmund F. Erk, Washington D.C. 1914." A lively first person account (with photographs) of "a tour of ten thousand miles through the wonderland of the West" to reach the 29th Triennial Conclave Grand Encampment of the Knights Templar in San Francisco in September of 1904.Very entertaining and filled with anecdotes and dialogue. Can be read on two levels -- for the travel info and details as well as for info on the Knights Templar. 321 pages.
