Lippincott's Magazine March 1881 (The Diamond Mines of South Africa & Fanny Stevenson), Stevenson, Fanny
15 Stevenson, Fanny Lippincott's Magazine March 1881 (The Diamond Mines of South Africa & Fanny Stevenson)
Philadelphia J.C. Lippincott & Co. 1881 New Series Vol. 1 No. 3 Soft Cover Good
What an interesting issue this is -- two stories caught my eye immediately. The first is the lead, a 15 page article about the diamond mines of South Africa replete with seven illustrations. The second thing is a seemingly small piece entitled My China Boys which was written by Fanny Stevenson, wife of Robert Louis Stevenson. In it she discusses her endeavors to hire Chinese household help. Do check out the ad on the left hand side of the second picture. You'll KNOW which one! :-) Magazine is tightly bound with clean pages and relatively little wear to paper cover. Minor soiling, a small tear to bottom of spine, and a tiny area of spine reglued.
