Very Good/Very Good Slipcase/Glassine Slipcover -- Good. 4to - over 9¾'' - 12'' tall. Lovely copy of a most handsome book. Pale blue and white boards with striking red and gilt title box on spine. Glassine wrapper still present, but browned with age and sporting a few tiny chips at base of spine. Slipcase clean and sturdy with just a bit of fading near opening. Former owner's handsome bookplate affixed to blank page inside. Includes copy of The Sandglass which show browning to crease. Altogether a lovely copy and unusual to find with glassine. Decorative spine. Green color to top of pages pristine. Contents likewise. Only defect is former owner's bookplate to front free endpaper. Black slipcase is tightly constructed and clean, but shows wear at corners. Illustrated with both color plates and black and white drawings. Nicely kep[t vitnage copy of a classic. 242 pages.
