A lovely book in very nice condition. Book itself is without fault. Dustjacket shows minor rubbing to back which is plain solid black with a few light scratches to same, none of which penentrate the paper's surface. Looks most handsome in brand new mylar. SIGNED without inscription by Hollis Sigler on title page and dated 8-15-00. The heart and soul of the book are the beautiful illustrations -- sixty in all captured in full color with commentary by the artist, through which the reader can trace not only Signler's own feelings on the journey, but also a sense of celebratory hope and a look at a wider picture. The book also contains two essays, one by Dr. Susan Love, a well known expert in the field of breast cancer, who discusses the importance of art as a document of the personal impact of the disease. The second is by James Yood who recounts the aesthetic trajectory of the artist's career with special emphasis on the journal itself. A very poignant, beautiful study. 95 pages.
