Very nice copy of a serious book well researched and produced. It measures 8-1/2"x11" and is soft cover. Very clean inside and out with no creasing.. The author, Joann King, hold a master's degree in history and was curator of the Medina County Historical Society for almost two decades. The photographer, Susan McKiernan, was, at the time of writitng, Assistant Director of the School of Art at the University of Akron. She was teaching both American and British architecture and decorative arts.This collaboration focuses on houses, churches, schools, public and commercial buildings and outbuildings, and cemetery vaults. Covers a vast range of styles from the simple log cabins of the first settlers to the Revival styles favored at the turn of the century. Details on each building, historical anecdotes, personal sketches and more than 250 photographs and drawings illustrate the chronology of not only the architecture, but also of the people who used and lived in them. 159 pages.
