A scarce book based on the myth of the famous Swift Silver Mines purported to have existed in eastern Kentucky before the days of Daniel Boone, but abandoned by their owner Jonathan Swift who, due to worker unrest and Indian raids, closed them down and went to Europe to try to summon a party interested in working them on a bigger scale. He supposedly did not return for 15 years (due to imprisonment) and when he did was blind and couldn't find his holdings. The author writes a fictionalized account based on Swift's journal, the veracity of which has been questioned. 156 pages.
