This popular magazine, oversized at almost 14" tall, is still fun to read, not just for the great ads, fashions, decorating and recipes, but also for the fiction and articles. Bright, colorful floral design on the cover of this issue which contains great period ads for Bon Ami (with a man cleaning the tub!), tea and Ovaltine. There's also a wonderful fashion section in color and an article on vacations at sea and lots of fiction. But the big name in this issue is that of Elizabeth Goudge who wrote a short story entitled "A Crock of Gold" which was illustrated by Norman Rockwell. Magazine shows a small discreet blue mailing label at lower front corner, but is otherwise very nice. Other issues from the period available.
