The color changes every 25 years -- this is from the navy blue series. Book measures 4-1/2"x7", has a gilded top edge and 264 pages. Illustrated. The foreword offers a sort of "State of the Union" in which the company reported that this book was its 55th Christmas keepsake and that it had purchased a prointing plant and equipment in Springfield, Ohio. Book tells the store of Wootton who at various stages of his life was a mountain man, scout, hunter and trapper, an "expressman and freighter" over mountain trails, a licensed trader with the Indians, and a rancher.
