Nine out of twelve issues of Vermont's state magazine from 1904, a couple of which retain their subscripotion forms. no mailing labels.. The contents are pristine on every one and outer covers show only a few minor defects -- a stray spot, isolated color fading, and in one instance, a small chip to the bottom front edge near the spine. Overall quite nice. Attractive local advertising in all and sometimes a look at Vermont's pretty young women too. Articles cover numerous aspects of the state, but some of the topic highlights include the granite industry; Suzanne Sheldon, a talented Vermont actress of the day; James Wilson, the first American globe-maker; the public schools of Vermont; the centennial of the University of Vermont; the state's Golden Anniversary; the story of the Republican Party in Vermont; and more. All issues are photo-illustrated and measure 7"x10". Issues cover the following months: January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, and November. Other early issues available.
