Not only does this elusive war-time storybook by the great Wanda Gag, best known for her delightful book "Millions of Cats", retain its original dustjacket, but it's an extremely GREAT dustjacket! Totally clean and crisp with no chips, creases or price-clip. Only faults are some browning to tops of white endflaps, a shadow from a former sticker on the front endflap and a tiny tear to the bottom of the same endflap. It will arrive in brand new mylar. The book itself is likewise clean and attractive with cover art matching that of the dustjacket. Though you can't see it when you open the book, hiding under the flap is a vintage bookplate which bears no name and a square brown shadow at the top, likely from a name sticker. The book is illustrated by Gag most charmingly in black and white -- perfect for these lesser known Grimm tales which include The Clever Wife, The Three Feathers and Goose Hans. 63 pages.
