Book itself is pristine with no names or writing and no bumps to boards. Jacket shows a few small edge tears and a chip to top back edge, but the chip is hardly noticeable as the white backing of the brand new mylar cover blends with the white paper of the jacket back. Illustrated and indexed. Hodding Carter was a journalist who won the Pulitizer Prize for a series he wrote about the mistreatment of the Japanese confined to American internment camps for the duration of WWII. Carter had dinner with Robert Kennedy the night before Kennedy was assassinated. Book is part of a series. We also have William the Conqueror by Thomas B. Costain. Book contains a laid-in typewritten letter SIGNED by Carter.
