Harper's Magazine May, 1958

Very clean, nicely kept magazine marred only by a small abrasion to outer front edge, a small chip to side of one page (not affecting text) and creasing to the same page which has been pressed flat in the book press by me. As you can see, the cover caricature is Frank Lloyd Wright, the star of this issue. His accompanying article is entitled "How Frank Lloyd Wright Got His Medal". To give you an idea of the tone the teaser reads, "He behaved rather like Moses with a quart of skimmed milk and an aggressive gall bladder ...." Another story of note is "The Guns at Falaise Gap", a first person account of one of the most crushing and least known American victories of WWII. Magazine measures 8"x11" and has 96 pages. Color ads include Old Smuggler Scotch, DeWar's "White Label", Drambuie, Sunlane cruises, American President Lines, British Travel Assoc., and Lord Calvert Blended Whiskey.
