By: Kelly, Burnham

Price: $40.00

Quantity: 1 available

Very nice, clean, tightly bound book with no names or writing. Dustjacket is missing, but book shows very little external wear. Originally published in 1952 after much research which was interrupted during the war years. By the time the book saw print the demand for housing was much geater thanks to the infusion of GIs returnig from war and seeking affordable homes. Believe it or not, the prefab house began before 1900. Book traces the trajectory, both good and bad, and also looks to the future with emphasis on labor, design and marketing. 466 pages including index.
