Gifts of the Nile: Ancient Egyptian Faience

By: Friedman, Florence Dunn (editor)

Price: $35.00

Quantity: 1 available

Beautiful book gently cared for. It's large with large photographs in color throughout. Book measures 9" x 12" and has 288 pages including index. Pages and page edges are white and bright and there's no spine crease and no names or writing. The only fault is a few light scratches to cover. This is an important book about Egyptian faience which was made of desert sand, gold, and semi-precious stones and is considered a magical substance. Over 200 photos pf fabulous objects from museums in the United States and Europe which contributed information as well as images toward this first interpretive study on the subject.
