PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED
We accept Paypal, checks, and money orders. If you choose the latter two options we will notify you via email upon receipt and ship your items the following morning. We do not hold checks for clearance. International orders are most welcome. We will gladly bill libraries, museums, and other non-profits.
REFUNDS
Customer service is our priority. We want you to be delighted with your purchase. Books may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of the date of transaction. We ask only that you give us prior notice before returning an item and that you return the item in the condition in which you received it. If we erred in our description we will cheerfully pay postage for the return.
GIFT ORDERS WELCOME!
If you would like to send a gift book please let us know, as we will be glad to drop ship to the address of your choice. We will also provide free gift wrap, plus a card with the message of your choice.
SHIPPING
It is our fervent desire to keep postage costs as low as we can for you. Since the postal service switched in January 2002 to zoned rates for priority shipping this has not been an easy task. One-size-fits-all rates no longer mean good value because books, like people, come in all shapes and poundages! We hate to make you pay for someone else's hefty tome when all you got was a paperback. That being said, we would prefer to calculate priority, UPS, and overseas charges on an individual basis. Tell us what you want and we will find the cheapest way to get it to you to meet your time frame requirements. We will never charge your credit card until you have approved these costs. Though we prefer priority and UPS, we will ship media rate in the U.S. if you prefer. For that we charge a flat $3. Please note that despite what you read on the postal charts, this is the economy rate and delivery times very often reflect it! But if you're not in a hurry it can be well worth the savings.
WRAPPING
It's not enough to have great books -- you still have to get the books in great shape. This is why we take the utmost care in wrapping your packages. All books are wrapped first in paper, then in bubblewrap, and then are supported by cardboard before being wrapped again in heavy outer paper. Finally the package is heat-sealed in a heavy clear plastic waterproof sleeve. No matter what happens on your book's journey to its new home we think we've got it covered!
