This was a new editionin 1921 with color plates like that of Herring, Wolstonholme, and Pollard and with an introduction by Lord Willoughby De Broke. The original book debuted in the second year of the Reign of Queen Victoria. The author, Thomas Smith, shortened the narrative but continues to cover these topics: the huntsman, the whipper-in, the sportsman, huntsman's language, hunting terms, fox hounds, the fox, keepers, stables and kennels. Along with an itneresting text there are 10 stunning color plates throughout. Book measures 8" x 10-1/2" and has 158 pages. It's clean and tightly bound, but isn't perfect. There's a dark area to the back board and toning to front endpapers (see photos). There's also a tiny bit of color loss at lower edge of spine. Overall thogh it's lovely and pages were neatly opened by previous owner.
