It's interesting that in the eighth year of the Cleveland Academy the school still sent a circular rather than a catalog to students and would-be students. The other interesting thing is that the senior and middle grade classes were populated with girls only. The junior class and the preparatory class, however, welcomed both girls AND boys, though girls dominated. Example --the junior class had 44 girls and nine boys. Members of the graduating class were Laura Barnett, Helen P. Briggs, Fannie A. Fuller, Nettie Hall, Grace A. Kingsley, Cora Kingsley, Gussie Marchand and Ada W. Simonds. The circular shows a light skim of grayness to top front edge and an indentation to the upper fold from a paper clip. A previous owner wrote 68-9 next to the date which is 1869-70. I held it up to my magnifier and the printed date is right. A very scarce item.
