Very nice, clean book with no names or writing and no bumps to boards. The dustjacket is clean also and has not been price-clipped -- looks very handsome in brand new mylar. The only faults are small chips to top and bottom spine and at both top corners of back. The author/ illustrator is noted for his books, Make Way For Ducklings and Blueberries for Sal, but this is his first book which originally was published in 1940. The story is set in a small town in Ohio and the hero is a boy named Lentil. Lentil wanted to whistle, but never got the hang of it, so he bought a harmonica and the fun began! Book measures 9-1/2" x 12-1/4". Itt's a great read-aloud and very collectible.
