Crisp, clean book with no bumps to boards, no creasing, no names or writing. Pages and page edges are priistine. The dustjacket is likewise nice with no tears or chips. The only fault is a small wrinkle to the top edge of the spine. Looks most handsome in brand new mylar. Book tells individual stories about the bloody Peleliu campaign which was the idea of MacArthur who conceived it to protect the flank, an outcome which historians called unnecessary. As for the last man standing, his name was Col. "Chesty" Puller who repeatedly ordered additional attacks which decimated the regiment. Book has 308 pages including index.
