Book Condition: Fine

Book is crisp and clean inside and out. The book was SIGNED by the author on the title page with no inscription. The book shows no bumps, no tears and chips to jacket, no creases, and no remainder mark. The pages and page edges are pristine and the jacket is covered with a brand new mylar cover. There is also no price-clip. The two metallic stickers are the announcement of awards -- gold for the Pura Belpre Award and the silver for the Jane Addams Children's Book Award. The only defect is a bit of wear on the silver medal. Altogether the book's nice and tells a great story about a young girl and her mother who fall on hard times and end up in a farm labor camp. But, as the title says, "Esperanza rises." The book measures 5-3/4" x 8-3/4" with 262 pages.
