Brown embossed boards show a small bit of corner wear and small tears to bands at top and bottom of spine, but are overall very attractive with gilt printing and design to spines. Pages are likewise clean and tightly bound showing just a bit of light foxing to first and last few pages. One volume shows a browned spot in the shape of a leaf which had been pressed inside as per the wont of the day. Prose is most accessible to the modern reader.
