Very clean gold boards with black title box full length of spine and printed white call numbers indicating university library status beneath. Only other signs of library ownership are two shadows where interior stickers seem to have fallen off and a very faint stamp indicating authorization for sale on front free endpaper. Pages very clean and illustrated nicely throughout. VOLUME II only. Originally published in 1919. 600 pages. [ ARCHAEOLOGY ] View More...
Very nice book with only light soil to tan cover. Measures 6-1/2"x8-1/2" and has very clean pages, tightly bound. ALL TEN small supporting color pictures intact in pocket at back of book -- rare to find them unpasted at appropriate spaces in text. At time of writing the author was Museum Instructor for the Cleveland Public Schools at the Cleveland Museum of Art. None of the student exercises have been completed either. An excellent copy. 46 pages. The book for Grade 6 is also available in like condition. View More...

Crisp, clean, seemingly unread art catalogue in pristine condition inside and out. The essay at the beginning is attributed to Lisa Hostetler who co-authored an article which had previously been published by Aperture Magazine. The catalog was produced to accompany an exhibit held at the Bruce Silverstein Gallery from January 16th to March 8, 2014. It measures 8"x10' and has all full page images in full color throughout. Crisp, clean booklets -- five in all, each covering a different prehistoric culture of the southwest of the United States. They're beautifully designed both inside and out and manage to bring much information to the collective 75 pages which also contain handsome phoptographs and art. Booklets measure 9" square and have 15 pages each. The only defect is a small, light stain at the bottom edge of the pages of Hohokam which gets lighter and lighter. Overall a nice set. See photo of stain. View More...

Very handsome oversized book measuring 12-3/4" high and 13-1/2" across. Quality printing and very clean, but does shows a few faults. Top of spine has been reglued by a former owner and is holding fine; there is a very tiny tear to outer front edge; a small chip to outer edge of front pastedown; and a small puncture mark to back covering affecting endpaper and about four pages. There are 19 photographs by Geoffrey James beautifully presented on heavy coated paper followed by a lengthy essay by Monique Mosser. All told, still a lovely book. View More...

This is an incredibly beautiful art catalog published to accompany an exhibit in Boston at Vose Galleries which ran from May 30 to July 31, 1998.
