These little magazines are great fun to read whether you believe in dowsing, or you don't. They're all clean and tightly bound and there are no labels. Issues are random from 1979 to 1983. One issue shows foxing to the first two pages (see last photo) caused by a catalog of books available in the Dowser Society Bookshop. The catalog almost makes it worth the defect -- no, I think it actually does! :-) The magazines measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and have around 47 pages each. Here's a sample of topics: the use of numbers in magic and healing, dowsing and the healing art, dowsing in everyday life, re... View more info

This book is clean and tightly bound, though a couple plastic spirals pulled away at the top and bottom of the spine. The previous owner repaired it with what looks like archival tape -- see photo -- but it does seem to be holding and doesn't look like a new repair.I think the book was published in the 1970's -when astrology was popular. I havehad many astrology items, but never heard of sidereal. According to Wikipedia, "classical tropical astrology is based on the orientation of the Earth relative to the Sun and planets of the solar system. Sidereal astrology works with the position of the ... View more info

Book was copyrighted in 1914 and published here in 1916. It's a hard one to find in the early green cloth binding. Book does have some faults -- a few light spots to the back, wear to top and bottom of spine, and spotting on a few pages. There is a blank bookplate on the front pastedown with no name (very fitting for the type of book), a stamp (faded) that shows a name from a former owner and a penciled note at top of front free endpaper from another previous owner which includes his name and this message, "Purchased October 3, 1970 at "Acres of Books" Long Beach, California."
